How to Install Audio Drivers

If you have installed new audio driver and it does not work , you may think that the audio driver is faulty.Sometimes it happens of uninstalling the old audio driver and installing the new that is the solution.When you are upgrading your system that times same happens. Sometimes, upgrading from Windows Vista to Windows 7 does not work. Instead, you should wipe out Vista from your system completely and install Windows 7.

First, Uninstall Old Audio Drivers

  • Go to Start menu, go to Control Panel -> System -> Hardware tab .
  • Click Device Manager.
  • Scroll down to the Sound, video and game controllers category.

Audio Device Manager

  • Select your audio device based on the audio device chipset manufacturer (e.g., Realtek etc.).

Other Devices

  • Right-click the audio device (or unknown device) in the Device Manager and then click Uninstall.
  • Restart your PC.

And Then… Install New Audio Drivers

  1. Run a device finder scan.
  2. Download the updated audio driver recommended.
  3. Install the new audio driver by clicking the Open or Install button.
  4. Restart your PC.
